To mark Canada's 150th anniversary in 2017, public libraries hosted a series of free, hands-on workshops where Nova Scotians were invited to learn about the cultural diversity and accomplishments of the artists, artisans, crafts people and makers in their communities. Local crafters and makers provided inspiration, support, and knowledge to people of all ages. This project was an opportunity for Nova Scotians to explore their own creative efforts using a wide range of techniques from the traditional to high tech. @NS is proud to have helped fund some of these projects and several of our members were involved in holiding workshops and other events.
